India Trip 2023

"The 2023 Mission trip to India was my third trip.  I really enjoyed the 6 days of showing “Love in Action”.  We met approximately 500 people in that short space of time.  The schedule was action packed!  My favourite parts of the trip were the fact that we got to spend more quality time with the residents at Shanthi Grammam and also we saw the last 3 residents move into their new homes – the completion of a project that seemed impossible a couple of years ago – PRAISE GOD!

I also enjoyed visiting a new orphanage (ARISE) just outside Chennai.  There are 25 girls in this orphanage and they were so excited to see us.  They inspired me to get fundraising again when I got home, to get bunk beds for them, as they are currently sleeping on mats.

Overall it was a heart-touching trip and really showed me that “Everyone can make a difference!”

India Trip 2023

OUR WORK IN

Vellore, Tamil Nadu

This year we will return to Vellore, Tamil Nadu. We are looking forward and are delighted to be visiting the many people and projects that we support.

On this trip we will have the opportunity to visit the various projects that we support. There we will see, first hand, the changes that the last few years have brought, the new, evolving needs that may have arisen and to bring some fun, love and Christmas gifts.

Our mission trips allow us to put "Love in Action", a value that stands at the heart of the David Ware Trust

"Visiting India, with the David Ware Trust, really helped me change my mindset and how I view the world. Seeing the ways in which the children in the orphanages, as well as the patients in Shanti Grammam, managed to maintain positive and persevere regardless of their circumstances helped me put my own life into perspective. I was strongly affected by the life stories told by the children and patients but also by how they didn’t let these stories of grief and struggle consume them"
